Issue/Introduction

When running a query in Jaspersoft with dates it throws an error and claims there is a NullPointerException for the timestamp

Jaspersoft JDBC Adapter throws NullPointerException on dates

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Set up Jaspersoft Studio with Postgres GCP in SAAS
2. Use the steps below to connect to the database: Preview Data with the DataAdapter
3. Connect to the database and query any date field, i.e.
select schedule_start from inv_investments

Expected Results: The date to be returned correctly

Actual Results: Error thrown: java.lang.NullPointerException Unable to get value for result set field "schedule_start" of class java.sql.Timestamp

Environment

Clarity versions 15.9.3, 16.0, 16.0.1 and Jaspersoft Studio 7.9

Resolution

This is defect DE63073, fixed in Clarity 16.0.2

To get the fix: Use the attached driver or the newest driver from Broadcom Support site
