Issue/Introduction

FTPS is not working after to 10.6.2.1

Previous version was 10.5.2.1

Reporter says service is not configured though enable check is configured on the GUI

 

Rptr# ftps start
FTPS is NOT configured. Set up FTPS configuration via web UI.
Rptr# ftps stop
FTPS is NOT configured. Set up FTPS configuration via web UI.
Rptr# ftps restart
FTPS is NOT configured. Set up FTPS configuration via web UI.

Environment

Release : 10.6.2.1

Resolution

The issue reported points to a frozen FTPS port/service and by disabling and re-enabling FTPS from the GUI, the issue should have been resolved. See snippet below for guidance.

Also, please note that while port 990 is default for FTPS, other port numbers, not utilized for other protocols, can be utilized. By changing the port to 991 would allow you to save the settings again, which refreshed it and would allow port 990 to work again. Whenever upgrades are done, there is always a possibility that FTPS could stop working. Resetting the port config would resolve the issue.
