Intermittently metric gaps for OPMS metric for ASM agent

Issue/Introduction

The ASM agent release 21.6.
Intermittently customer is observing metric gaps for OPMS metric for ASM agent. The metric gap is across all metrics that are reported under the OPMS node and other metrics are not showing any gap during this time. The issue is occurring intermittently without any specific pattern. Agent is not clamped.

Resolution

We had a similar issue where the OPMS/public stations does has gap because of the ASM API limitation. The extension has to use the new streaming API which is part of 10.8 ASM release.

The ASM agent extension code also needs to be changed to incorporate the new ASM streaming API.

We are tracking APM agent extension side changes via an enhancement request.

This will be resolved once extension use the new streaming API from ASM.

We do not have exact time of the release of these two components (ASM 10.8 release and APM agent extension), but we expect to have them available around the end of this year or beginning of the next year.
