How to filter out unwanted alerts from sending to SOI

Issue/Introduction

We are getting many of unwonted alarm with summary "Rogue_AP_Detected" alarms from Spectrum and don't want those alarms sent to SOI.

Environment

Release : 4.2

Component : Service Operations Insight (SOI) Manager

Resolution

Please follow the below steps to prevent the Spectrum connector from sending those "Rogue_AP_Detected" alarms from being sent to SOI...

1. Create an Event policy to filter the event at the Spectrum connector side.
   Open Event Policy GUI in the SOI console:
   
2. In Event Pattern field, enter  matches(Summary,'Rogue_AP_Detected')
   
   
   
   

3. Create Policy, This opens a new window:

   1. 
4. In the Select Action, select Filter Events and Exclude
   
   
   
   
5. Select Save and Deploy policy and select the Spectrum connector as the source.
