Some developers need to have both Aion 10.2 and Aion 11.0 installed, in order to make changes to applications prior to building them in Aion 11.0. It is possible to have Aion 10.2 and 11.0 installed on the same machine, but opening Aion applications will default to Aion 11.0. How can it be possible to prevent opening the Aion application in the wrong IDE version?
Create two distinct shortcuts for the respective IDEs, and place them in a directory where they can be easily reached.
Go into your Start -> Programs menu, and locate the menu item corresponding to redev.exe. You can right-mouse click on the Aion Business Rules Expert menu item, and create a shortcut. Drag it to the directory where you wish to edit your Aion application from. Or you could go into your Aion IDE directory, create a shortcut based on the existing redev.exe file, and give it a distinct enough name to tell the versions apart. The name should be changed in the Name field of the "General" tab, not the "Shortcut" tab.
Be sure to name these accurately enough so that you know which IDE version you are opening the applications with. Be sure if you want to edit an Aion 10.2 application with Aion 10.2 and not 11.0 by mistake, and likewise with Aion 11.0, which will make the naming of the shortcuts very important.
