Manual Expedited Upgrade on a Software Gateway

Issue/Introduction

We would like to migrate/upgrade out software gateway. Can we use the same steps that we would in a manual expedited upgrade?

Software gateway upgrades are generally done in place

Yes, this is possible.

The steps are essentially as follows:

1) Exporting the database(s) from 9.4

2) Moving exported db(s) to the new 10.1 machine

3) Dropping the "fresh" 10.1 database

4) Importing the 9.4 database

5) Upgrading the 9.4 database to match the 10.1 software (through the SSG config menu)
