Grant type client_credentials OAuth 2.0 support in Policy Server

Issue/Introduction

 

When trying to integrate one of the applications using OIDC and OAuth 2.0, which requires [grant_type=client_credentials]. 

The current Siteminder 12.8SP6 version doesn't have this option Out of the Box. 

Is there any release or Hotfix available for this feature?

Resolution

 

In the lastest version of Siteminder 12.8SP7, this functionality isn't implemented.

Open an Enhancement Request (Idea) to get this functionality:

  1. Go to the "All Ideas" page :
     https://community.broadcom.com/ideation/allideas
  2. Click on the "Add" button.
  3. In the "Select categories...", select "Symantec Access Management".
  4. Write a title in the "title" box.
  5. Write a complete description of the Enhancement Request or
     Certification you'd like to post.
  6. Click on "Save" to get the Idea submitted!
