Unable to add Users from Active Directory because no results are returned in the dropdown window

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to import users from AD no results were being returned in a dropdown window where candidates matching the spelling of the name should be displayed.

 

Environment

Release : 6.8.1

 

Cause

Depending on how Active Directory user accounts are looked up (last name first, or first name first) the process attempting to render a list of candidates does not receive any results from the LDAP stream.

Resolution

Try typing in the first name of the user (not their login name). If that doesn't work then try the user's last name.
