Issue/Introduction

When logging the error messages from IBM's enablement toolkit for some Reason Codes, Vantage returns an incorrect message line:

VNGCHTTS .HTTP_Connect Connect failed (HWTHCONN).

Cause

Vantage's Diagnostics area (MSGE0001) cannot fit in the description field for some Reason Codes.

Resolution

APAR LT02949 was created to fix the line size of the Return Code and Reason Code so that the message logged in the Diagnostics area provides more useful information for problem determination:
