Issue/Introduction

The EINE STC/Server  failed with a RC16 - NAT3009 error :

Resolution

The NAT3009 error a Time-out error in Adabas.  In this case, it was the result of the EINE end user losing power in the middle of an EINE transaction. 

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done in the EINE Server to prevent these Adabas transaction time-out errors.

Possible work-around solution suggestions -

1)  Run multiple EINE Servers so if one shuts down, the other server will continue processing EINE transactions.

 

2)  Start a second EINE Server job with the same name so that it is sitting in the Input queue and will start up automatically if the active server shuts-down.

 

3)  If some job Automation package is available, use it to bring the EINE Server back up automatically.
