4039 abend running CULPRIT reports

Issue/Introduction

Trying to run canned CULPRIT reports (e.g. PMARPT01) results in this abend:

and also this LE runtime error is seen:

 CEE3250C The system or user abend U2222 R=NULL     was issued.
          From compile unit CULPDRES at entry point CULPDRS2 at compile unit offset +0002C2C4 at entry offset +000290A4
           at address 000416AC.

Cause

These errors are normally an indication that CULPRIT is having trouble loading the culprit source module(s) from the dictionary.

Resolution

Make sure that the DICTNAME= specification in the CULPRIT SYSIN is correct and the dictionary is properly specified from a JCL and DMCL perspective, and is available.
