Issue/Introduction

What happens when my Endpoint Protection Manager license expires?
After my license expires for my SEPM, what do I lose as far as function and protection?

What happens when my Symantec Security Complete and Symantec Endpoint Security license expires?

Environment

SEPM and managed SEP Clients 14.x

Resolution

When the SEPM/SEP license expires, definitions will still be downloaded and installed without issue. The one restriction is our Insight Servers will no longer accept submissions from these clients. They will be able to use the insight lookup feature , so reputation checks are still performed.

The SEPM will still function and you will be able to run reports, manage clients, etc.

For Symantec Security Complete and Symantec Endpoint Security when the license expires  the clients will no longer receive any updates, so it is essential to renew the licenses.

Additional Information

Licenses no longer use the concept of a grace period.
