WA System Agent r12 sending "Lost control" upon server reboot

Issue/Introduction

The issue is that the autosys agent 12.0 sends "Lost control" status even for completed jobs each time when there is OS restart or a agent restart.

 

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : CA Workload Automation System Agent

Resolution

The issue has been resolved with the following fixes;

LU02510 (Linux)
LT03025 (SUN-SOLARIS)
LU03022 (AIX)
LT03024 (SUN-SOLARIS INTEL-X86)

Please follow the instructions below to deploy the patch:

1. Stop the agent:
   <agent_install_path>/cybAgent -s
   
   ("agent_install_path" specifies the agent installation directory)
   
   
2. Download the fix from SUPPORT site and extract the bin file from downloaded fix using the following commands.
   On UNIX:
   tar -xvf patchno.tar
   
   
3. Rename the existing <agent_install_path>/cybAgent.bin
   On UNIX:
   mv <agent_install_path>/cybAgent.bin <agent_install_path>/cybAgent.bin.mmddyyyy
   
   
4. Copy the new cybAgent.bin from this fix into <agent_install_path>
   On UNIX:
   cp cybAgent.bin <agent_install_path>
   
   
5. Start the agent.
