Issue/Introduction

Can GT Subset run on LINUX RHEL 8? If so what else besides Java JDK is needed?

Cause

N/A

Environment

Release : 4.9.1

Component : Subset

Resolution

The only TDM component that runs on Linux is the Portal with Docker.

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/devops/test-data-management/4-9/getting-started/tdm-portal/using-tdm-portal-in-linux.html

This only to run on the Linux machine. The GT Server components (Datamaker, Fast Data Masker, GT Subset etc), are still only available in a Windows environment. For more information, see Features not available in TDM Portal in Docker.

One exception is FDM on Linux: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/devops/test-data-management/4-9/installing/install-test-data-manager/install-product-components/install-fast-data-masker-on-linux.html

We do not specify if you can run with Linux 8, and do not specify a docker version, so you should be fine.
