Cannot license Security Analytics with activation code

Issue/Introduction

As part of the license agreement, often you will receive an activation code for Security Analytics.  This code is typically tied to the Security Analytics Analysis 10TB Daily Subscription.  If you try to use the activation code to license the Security Analytics appliance through the normal web interface, it will fail and provide an error that the license key is invalid.

Missing license key for new Security Analytics hardware.

Resolution

Security Analytics must be licensed using a 16-digit alphanumeric key (for example ABCD-1234-EFGH-5678).  If you do not have this key, contact technical support for assistance.
