Gen Windows CSE - Oracle Edition supported

Issue/Introduction

According to Gen 8.6 technical requirements, Oracle 18c and 19c are supported databases on a Windows platform for CSE encyclopedia, but the Edition is not mentioned.

Is it ok to use either the Oracle Enterprise Edition or the Standard Edition?

Resolution

Like the Standard edition, Enterprise includes basic auditing, contained databases, encryption and backups, and user-defined roles. It surpasses the Standard edition with its inclusion of fine grained auditing, transparent database encryption, and extensible key management.

Both Oracle Enterprise Edition or the Standard Edition will work with the CSE.
