False alarms in Spectrum on USC 6400 device models after upgrading to 21.2.1

CA Spectrum DX NetOps

After upgrading to Spectrum 21.2.1 and running the script, Cisco USC 6400 devices that were modeled using the GnSNMPDev model type are now modeled using the CiscoUCSFabricInterconnect model type.

Since running the script, Spectrum is asserting multiple "MODULE REMOVAL DETECTD" and "INTERFACE IS STALE" alarms.

These alarms appear but then clear within a few minutes.

This does not occur for the Cisco USC 6300 devices.

This is a known bug on the Cisco USC 6400 devices.

Release : 21.2.x

Component : SPCAEM - Alarms

The resolution is to model the Cisco USC devices in Spectrum using the VIP address.

Destroy the existing model and remodel using the VIP address.
