UIM - Snmpcollector time over threshold alarms not working

Issue/Introduction

Time over Threshold configured via the snmpcollector probe on the snmpcollector server hub via the probe's GUI is not working.

(1) Requirement: Restrict alarming for this CPUUtilizationLastMin metric but snmpcollector is not honoring the setting.

Time over threshold is set to 10 min and the sliding time window is at 15 min, polling interval is 5 min. 

Despite that getting alarms every time CPUUtilizationLastMin exceeds the threshold.

(2) Despite the TOT configuration, alarms from this server continuously appear on the Operator Console Server.

 

Environment

Any UIM and snmpcollector version

Resolution

In this use case the alarm queues on snmpcollector hub were configured to send alarms upstream as well as nas replication was configured .

Because of TOT configured, the alarm queues from the snmpcollector hub to the primary hub should be removed 

Only NAS forwarding should happen via nas replication
