How to specify a new log location for AA arcoadmin.log and/or arcouds.log ?

Issue/Introduction

This document describes how to specify a new log location for the AA arcotuds.log and arcotadmin.log. Note that as a default the location of these logs is <ARCOT_HOME>\logs directory.

First let's address the log location for AA component arcotuds. The log generated is arcotuds.log.

1. Stop the Application Server 

2. Navigate to <ARCOT_HOME>\conf and edit the initialization file called arcotuds.ini.  Within arcotuds.ini comment out the original logging configuration lines shown in Gray and then change the highlighted (in Yellow) portion of line to specify a new log location for the arcotuds.log

6. Start the Application server.

Second let's address the log location for AA component arcotadmin. The log generated is arcotadmin.log.

1. Stop the Application Server 

2. Navigate to <ARCOT_HOME>\conf and edit the initialization file called arcoradmin.ini. Within adminserver.ini comment out the original logging configuration line (in Gray) and then change the highlighted (in Yellow) portion of line to specify a new log location for the arcotadmin.log
