In VTAPE can the BSDS and Global VCAT be moved with DFDSS?

Issue/Introduction

There is a need to move the BSDS and the Global VCAT to new volumes.   Since VTAPE has been shutdown can the BSDS and Global VCAT be moved with DFDSS ?   The pool that contains the Virtual Tapes are SMS managed and those should merge on their own.

Component : CA VTAPE

Resolution

Yes the BSDS and Global VCAT can be moved with DFDSS 

1) Shut down Vtape and use DFDSS to move them. 

2) Make sure to take a backup of the BSDS prior to the move

3)move the BSDS and Global VCAT with DFDSS

4)Restart VTAPE after the move.
