Output Management Web Viewer

Issue/Introduction

One of our LPARs (and associated DRAS task) defined in Web Viewer was decommissioned and we need to remove all references to it from Web Viewer. Can we remove the entry from the WVProfile.properties without issues? What else needs to be done?

Environment

Release : 12.1

Component : CA OUTPUT MANAGEMENT WEB VIEWER FOR ALL PLATFORMS

Resolution

The repositories associated with the defunct DRAS are defined in the Web Viewer database in the Administration tab and are deleted from the Administration tab.

The two places the decommissioned LPAR could be mentioned in the WVProfile.properties file
are, for example:
# Web Viewer r12 LMP License Check DRAS connection
#
LICENSE.SystemID=A31SENF
LICENSE.DRASServer=DRASLxxx
Rerun the configtool to remove any decommissioned connectivity.

2.  If the WVProfile.properties file has more than one DRAS listed (optional feature employed - see below), any invalid entries will need to be manually deleted:

For example
# Web Viewer r12 LMP License Check DRAS connection
#
LICENSE.SystemID=A31SENF
LICENSE.DRASServer=L2USDRAS
LICENSE.DRASServerP1=USI379ME:QAHADRC2
LICENSE.DRASServerP2=XEXX:QAHADRC2
LICENSE.DRASServerP3=A31SENF:DRASL2E0
LICENSE.DRASServerP4=A34SENF:DRASL2E0
LICENSE.DRASServerP5=A35SENF:DRASL2E0
LICENSE.DRASServerP6=A36SENF:DRASL2E0
LICENSE.DRASServerP7=A37SENF:DRASL2E0
LICENSE.DRASServerP8=A38SENF:DRASL2E0
LICENSE.DRASServerP9=A39SENF:DRASL2E0

CA OM WEB VIEWER PROBLEM 262
-----------------------------
Problem Description:
There is one, and only one, DRAS server that can
be configured to authenticate a user. If that DRAS
is not available, but other DRAS's are available, they
cannot be used due to this configuration limit
