Issue/Introduction

Applied maintenance to a Datacom Dataquery load module (in this example, DQQBEPR) and now must assure that all Datacom users and CICS regions are refreshed and are using the modified load module.  Datacom console command NEWCOPY, received the following:

DB01311I - NEWCOPY DQQBEPR DB01335I - CONSOLE SCHEDULED - NEWCOPY DQQBEPR DB01314E - NEWCOPY DQQBEPR ERROR NOT IN LIST

Resolution

• For the Multi-user (MUF) region, there is no need to refresh a Dataquery load module (DQxxxPR) using the Datacom console command NEWCOPY because the MUF does not keep a copy of a DQxxxPR module in memory.
  
  
• For any batch Dataquery job, a fresh copy of the Dataquery modules are loaded from the load library upon execution.
  
  
• For CICS regions, use the CICS NEWCOPY command (CEMT SET PROGRAM(DQxxxPR) NEWCOPY) or recycle the CICS region to refresh the copy from the load library.
