UIM CABI Xendesktop summary report dashboards are empty

Issue/Introduction

We are running XenDesktop v4.24 monitoring Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop versions  v7.15
The probe is remotely monitoring the  XenDesktop which stays under the same domain. 

We enabled monitoring but the DATA is not populating the CABI Dashboards

 

We are seeing error:

[Data Collector - cxxxxx.exxxxx.net, xendesktop] (1) error, Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\Citrix\Licensing\SnapIn\Citrix.Licensing.Admin.V1\WSLInventory.format.ps1xml'.

Cause

UIM CABI XenDesktop Dashboards (broadcom.com) need specific metrics to display the data. 

For example check if the DB there are correct values for: 

QOS_XENDESKTOP_RESOURCE_HYPERVISORS_TOTAL_COUNT
QOS_XENDESKTOP_RESOURCE_MACHINES_TOTAL_COUNT
QOS_XENDESKTOP_RESOURCE_DESKTOPS_TOTAL_COUNT


If Only NULL values are on the DB as samplevalues the dashboard won't work.  

Possible, in this scenario, Dr.Nimbus is showing negative values sent by the robot for these metrics.

 

What could cause is a missing license file on the citrix ddc machine.

Component : UIM - CABI

Resolution

Engage the Xendesktop administrator and fix the missing license file on the citrix ddc machine.

Eg: 'C:\Program Files\Citrix\Licensing\SnapIn\Citrix.Licensing.Admin.V1\WSLInventory.format.ps1xml'.
