Issue/Introduction

A comparison between Windows compression and Javelin gzip and Windows did better compression.

 Are either options used underneath the covers?

-1, --fast        compress faster  -9, --best        compress better

Resolution

TDM uses GZipStream(Stream stream, CompressionMode mode); which means the default is to compress fast.

Please be aware that the new FDM version (4.9.201.0 and later) includes an embedded jre rather than run a jre installer.  This will allow customers to use different jre versions that will not impact on FDM.
