CA Workload Automation AE

A job is started, receives a STARTJOBFAIL alarm, and then goes into the RESTART loop. It ultimately fails when it exhausts the retry attempts. The details for this job run do not show up in WCC QuickView under the Job Runs section.

Release : 11.3.6/12.0

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

The job run detail information for a job in QuickView reflects the job runs that are stored in the ujo_job_runs table within the AutoSys database. When a job fails to actually start on the agent and receives the STARTJOBFAIL alarm for whatever reason, that run does not get a row in the ujo_job_runs table as it is not considered an actual job run. The Scheduler will not create the row in ujo_job_runs for that job run until it processes a RUNNING event for it. All you will be able to see in WCC is the job run summary info because that is coming from the ujo_job_status table.
