Issue/Introduction

dr_validate.sh failing on validating "tuned" is turned off

Ensuring tuned is off for RHEL7+........................................[FAIL]

Environment

All supported releases of Performance Management

Cause

This check is regarding the application "tuned" and per Vertica's requirement, it must be prevented from auto-starting.  In this case, though, the prevention ( chkconfig tuned off ) is not able to be done as tuned is not installed in the environment.

Resolution

So long as tuned is not installed and the checking of it is the only failure or fault, you can proceed forward with dr_install.sh

Reworking of the logic within dr_validate.sh will be handled in defect DE516884
