Issue/Introduction

During the recycle of OPSS,  the P OPSBCPII commands was issued by OPSS, and accepted.

After the OPSS restarted, a new OPSBCPII was started up, while the older one is still there, which causing two instances existed there.

One day later, we try to cancel one of them ,while both were shutdown.  And we issued /F OPSS, RESTART(HWS) to try to start it up, but received below error messages, and the task is ended.

Resolution

IBM s0042 Abend in HWILIST caused the HWIBCPII to not restart.  Recycling the HWIBCPII should resolve for OPSBCPII.

Recommend following up with IBM regarding the ABEND=S0042 in the HWILIST.
