Unable to create a policy group in DLP

Issue/Introduction

When creating a policy group in Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) the new group does not display on the policy group page.

1. Go to System > Servers and Detectors > Policy Groups.
2. Click "Add".
3. Fill out the required fields.
4. Click "Save".

No errors or warnings are displayed.
The policy group does not appear on the page.
Searching by the policy group name does not return the new policy group.

The jdbc logging shows the new policy group was created.

The new group is in the database.

WHERE name = '<new group name>';

Environment

Release: 15.x

 

Cause

Insufficient permissions for the user role.

Resolution

Confirm that your role has at least "Server Administration" privileges.

And on the role's "Policy Management" tab, ensure that the "All Policy Groups" option is selected?
