Issue/Introduction

Agent 11.4 installation failed with error;

Error: Port Library failed to initialize: -70
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. 
Program will exit.

 

 

Environment

Release : 11.4

Component : CA Workload Automation System Agent

AIX 6.1  (oslevel -s 6100-06-05-1115)

Cause

AIX 6.1 server does not meet the operating conditions of the Java version.

Resolution

Agent 11.4 uses JRE 1.8 so AIX 6.1 should be at least 6100-07.

Note, Agent 11.4.x is not supported on AIX 6.1 platform. See Agent support matrix information.
