Some computers which have assigned Organizational Unit in Active directory are shown as not OU assigned in Notification Server Console

Issue/Introduction

Some computers are not imported into the Notification Server console after the Import Computers in 'Import Microsoft Active Directory' runs.

When checking the Organizational Views and Groups or checking the custom report showing computers with OU assigned, many computers which actually are part of an OU are not showing up there.

Environment

ITMS 8.x

 

Cause

The Resource Import Rule to import computers is configured to import 'Some Computers' and not all of them. 

After checking the import constraints we found that the option ''computer account password changed in the last 30 days" is selected:

Resolution

Uncheck the 'Import computers which computer account password changed in the last 30 days' or select to Import all computers instead as shown here:
