Cannot select SQL Server when installing Jasper Server r7.2/7.9

Issue/Introduction

Installing CA Business Intelligence JasperServer r7.2/7.9 and we are not seeing an option to use MS SQL as the database, it only allows to select postgreSQL. 

In the past when we installed CABI r7.1.1 we had an option to chose the database type like MSSQL, Oracle, postgreSQL.

Release : 17.3

Component :  CA Business Intelligence 7.2/7.9

Cause

Jasper Server 7.2/7.9 installer only allows one to select the postgreSQL database.  In order to perform an install using SQL Server, there are manual steps which are available to install Jasper 7.2/7.9.  

Resolution

Please note that the install instructions have not been certified or tested by Broadcom and come from Tibco.
