How do I change the VTAM application id used to logon to ROSCOE?

Issue/Introduction

 

Currently the VTAM application id (APPLID) used to logon to ROSCOE is ROSAPPL. I want to change it so that ROSCOE is the APPLID. How do I change this?

Resolution

The VTAM APPLID to be used by ROSCOE is specified in the SYSIN startup parameter ROSAPPL.

To use ROSCOE as the VTAM APPLID specify the following in the SYSIN:

   ROSAPPL=ROSCOE

An APPL macro must be also be coded for the APPLID ROSCOE in the VTAM generation:

          VBUILD TYPE=APPL
ROSCOE   APPL  AUTH=(ACQ,PASS,NOTSO,...),
               PRTCT=ROSCOE
