In the example below, the data is displayed in character format and the PROFILE command will be used to set default display value to HEX ON.
The user can toggle the display type by setting the Hex ===> value to ON or OFF.
The PROFILE command can be entered on the browse or edit screens.
Type PROFILE on the command line (or PROF) and press enter. The EDIT Profile Settings pop menu will appear. Next set the desired Hex value.

In the above example we first set the HEX option to ON then pressed PF3(END) to exit the pop up window.
The data is now displayed in HEX as shown below. When using the PROFILE command the default data display has been changed to HEX and will be retained.
All future browse and edit functions will display the data in HEX format.
The PROFILE command can be used to switch back to character display by entering Hex ===> OFF
