Issue/Introduction

The IVP job for JOBTRAC fails with error message 'TRAC178E JICA NOT FOUND. DATABASE CANNOT BE ACCESSED - GJTRDCOM'.   Message 'GJTRIVP2 - JOBTRAC DATABASE OPEN FAILURE'  also occurs.

Environment

Release : 11.0

Component : JOBTRAC

Resolution

The IVP is failing with error TRAC178E because the database could not access a Jobtrac that was initialized on the system for the token specified in the //JOBTRACx DD DUMMY statement.  The (x) value in the //JOBTRACx DD DUMMY statement identifies the token value for Jobtrac.  This statement in the IVP job has to specify the same token that the Jobtrac started task uses.   To address the TRAC178E error, specify the correct Jobtrac token value in the //JOBTRACx DD DUMMY statement and rerun the IVP job.
