Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) 15.5 to 15.8, and you try to create the EnforceReinstallationResources.zip by running ReinstallationResourcesUtility.exe, you might get the error

Exception: Error calling LoadLibrary: The specified module could not be found. (HRESULT: 0x7e)

or

Exception: Error calling LoadLibrary: The specified module could not be found. (HRESULT: 0xc1)

Environment

DLP 15.8, upgrading from earlier version (15.X).

Cause

The problem occurs when you update the Java to a newer version and put it in a different directory and delete the old version.

Resolution

When you install/add/update another Java in a directory structure, you must update the configuration files in the directory below to point to the new java path:

• \DataLossPrevention\EnforceServer\Services\

 

You must also update the configuration file (Configuration.txt) in each folder under each standalone tool in the directory below to point to the new java path:

• \DataLossPrevention\EnforceServer\15.8.00000\Protect\config.
