Issue/Introduction

After updating to the Operator Console 20.3.3 September 2021 Patch, the individual column definitions are not saved. Switching to another view and then back, you have an empty alarm view again.

I cleared the browser cache and deleted the work directory but that made no difference.

Cause

- Monthly patch release (September) was missing an SQL statement.

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM OPERATOR CONSOLE - ALARM VIEWER

- Operator Console 20.3.3 September 2021 Patch

Resolution

For MS SQL Server,

In the UMPALARMVIEWERINFO table, check if the 'DefaultFilter' column is present or not by running the query:

select * from UMPALARMVIEWERINFO

If the column is not present, run this sql statement on the appropriate backend UIM database, e.g., Prod, Test, Dev, etc.that was updated to the September patch release:

ALTER TABLE UMPALARMVIEWERINFO
ADD DefaultFilter int;

And the DefaultFilter column should be added.

Then access the Operator Console Alarm View and then it should display the expected view/layout.

You can add (Edit) new columns if needed.

Re-sorting and the size of the columns is still not persistent and you can't sort by owner either but thee improvements are planned for the 20.4 release due out before the end of November.

Also, the September Patch release has just been updated to include the SQL statement (as of 9/16/2021)
