Jobstream Icon help page failes to launch from the AAI client - "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."

Issue/Introduction

When trying to launch the Job Icon help page or run a report from the AAI client, it attempts to open in notepad instead of an Internet Browser.

The error below is shown in a pop up box:

"The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."

 

 

Environment

Release : 6.2.0

Component : AUTOMIC AUTOMATION INTELLIGENCE ENGINE

Resolution

Step 1: Go to Windows Start Menu -> Settings 

Step 2: Select Apps from the list of options.

Step 3: Click Default Apps from the left-hand menu.

Step 4: Scroll down if needed, and click Choose Default Apps by File Type.

Step 5: Search for htlm and htm.
Step 6: Scroll through the list to find the file type that you want to change the file association for. Click the application or Plus icon to its right.

Step 7: Choose your preferred application from the list that appears, and click its corresponding icon, choose a web browser like Chrome, Firefox, IE, or MS EDGE.

If it is currently set to a browser try changing to another browser installed on your computer.
