An error has occurred while attempting to receive PTFs from Software Catalog.

A PTF exists in Software Catalog but the file with the PTF could not be found.

Environment

Release : 6.0

Component : Chorus Software Manager

Resolution

The correct file system is being mounted to the correct mountpoint so it looks like SO13830 or whatever the PTF is was deleted outside of CSM directly from the path such as: /SYSTEM/var/CA/msmserv/mpm/scroot/DatabaseM/CA/MAINTENANCE/CA_Workload_Automation_CA_7_Edition_-_MVS/12.1/0001/

This means that CSM would not know this PTF was deleted. The PTF would have to be deleted from CSM.

I tried this IDMS PTF LU02574.BIN to see if I would get the same error and I did.

For assistance, contact Technical Support at http://ca.com/support.

Try and correct it with this procedure.

Go to the products tab and locate the release of the product. Click on the release to display the PTF's. Locate the PTF in the list. You can use the up/down arrows in the Fix# column to sort them.

Once you locate the PTF move to the left and click actions then delete. After it is deleted, right click on the release of the product then click "add external maintenance" then solution. Enter the PTF that was just deleted in the solution field and click ok to download it into CSM. After that is done try the receive again.
