Issue/Introduction

After changing the CA Business Service Insight Service user account or password, the following error, or one similar, is received when launching the User Interface

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0221'

Environment

CA Service Business Insight 8.3.x and 9.x

Resolution

This error occurs because the service account associated with the COM+ components needs to be updated with the new password/account information.

1.  Start by launching the Component Services Management Tool ( Start-> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Component Services)

2.  Navigate to the Oblicore Engine Properties screen (Console Root -> Computers -> My Computer -> COM+ Applications -> Oblicore Engine), right-click to open Properties. 

3.  Once you have opened the properties screen, select the Identity tab to set the user account and password. The USERID will be a Domain User with Local Administrative rights. If you use a non-domain user, then you will have problems communicating with BSI components on other systems.
