Resolution

Shutdown any application using CCI to avoid the potential of an abend due a CCI pointer being removed by this process.

Follow these instructions to identify potential applications that are utilizing CCI and to unlock RVT lock.

  • Issue console command: ENF DISPLAY,RECEIVER

This will list which job(s) are currently using CCI.  The key piece of information is the JOBNAME of the solutions using CCI

CAS9733I CCI JOBNAME(xxxxxxxx) JOBNUM( STCnnnnn)

Note: You can ignore the information associated with the ENF JOBNAME as the ENF task will not need to be recycled.

  • Use the list to Stop the portions of the identified applications using CCI.
    • Note that some solutions require you to shutdown the entire address space, others may have specific commands to address only the CCI portion.
Which action is to be taken is dependent upon the product itself.

  • Issue console command: ENF UNLOCK(RVT)

  • Restart each product or product service that was previously shutdown
