Issue/Introduction

Hi Team,

We've setup Symantec PAM 4.0 in PROD we have 2 Utility Appliance servers. While configuring I have added both Utility Appliance in the same "Utility Group" too.

Using  customize_eac_rpm , when defining "PRIMARY_ENTM_NAME", do we have to specify both or the one which we consider primary among the 2 Utility Appliances?

Resolution

This setting is not useful for PAMSC endpoints when used in conjunction with Symantec PAM since this is only used for installing a new DH host. PAM only supports using the Utility Servers as DH hosts and you cannot create additional outside of this structure. You should consider entering multiple hosts for both the DH_NAME and DIST_SRV_HOST values  to define the multiple utility servers.

DH_NAME="DH__@XXXXXXX DH__@YYYYYYY "

DIST_SRV_HOST="XXXXXXX, YYYYYYY "
