Issue/Introduction

We've setup Symantec PAM 4.0 ,  In PROD we have 2 Utility Appliance servers. While configuring I have added both Utility Appliance in the same "Utility Group" too.


Does clustering happen Utility Appliances automatically if we add them in the same "Utility Group" ?

Once you have added multiple Utility Servers to a group then these are clustered for access. This does not mean there is a failover mechanism built into the utility servers and there is no VIP address to be shared. This means you can define multiple DH_ and Distribution Hosts for the endpoint and the failover mechanism built into the endpoint  will  be able to function with any of the utility servers defined in the group and in the endpoint configuration.
