The "Validate Credential" function in the snmpcollector probe always validates the credentials no matter if they are good or bad.
Wrong Credentials will pass as success:
With bad credentials for example bad user, bad Authentication key or bad Privacy Key. it returns "Credentials valid".
Example:
Check snmp credential are start on <device hostname> equipment one time at 7:36 without good credential
Check snmp credential are start on <device hostname> equipment one time at 7:39 with bad credential (bad user , bad authetication Key and bad privacy key).
result in snmpcollector.log:
Aug 24 07:36:06:477 [attach_socket, snmpcollector] Credentials were valid for HOSTNAME.DOMAIN
Aug 24 07:39:01:313 [attach_socket, snmpcollector] Credentials were valid for HOSTNAME.DOMAIN
This occurs with snmpv1, v2, v3
