On devices with Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14.2 RU2 MP1 or later using Application Control, web browsers Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome will not open if mitigation technique Validate image dependence integrity is enabled on Windows 10 or 11.

Symantec is currently investigating this issue and will update this document as more information becomes available.


To allow Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome to launch on devices running SEP 14.2 RU2 MP1 with Application Control, disable Validate image dependence integrity technique.
