Issue/Introduction

This article clarifies the behavior of the "Name" field in the Top Secret V1 connector for Identity Manager, specifically regarding whether it can be configured as a Capability attribute or mapped to Custom Fields for dynamic updates.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.xx

Cause

The Top Secret Name field is architecturally fixed as an Initial Value attribute. It is not designed to function as a Capability attribute, and any modifications mapped through Custom Fields (such as Custom Field 5) will not propagate to the Name field.

Resolution

The current behavior is Working as Designed. The Top Secret Name field cannot be altered or re-configured to behave as a Capability attribute. Dynamic propagation of values from Custom Fields to the Top Secret Name field is not supported in the current connector implementation.
