Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14.2 RU1 MP1 and older clients are not honoring Upgrade Schedule settings in a Client Upgrade Policy.


Upgrade Schedule policy processing logic was added to SEP clients in 14.3 RU2.


Client Upgrade Policy was added in Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) 14.3 RU3.


In a SEPM 14.3 RU3 and later environment where a Client Upgrade Policy is applied to various SEP client versions, below is the expected behavior.

  • SEP 14.3 RU2 and later clients will follow the Upgrade Schedule defined in an applied Client Upgrade Policy.
  • SEP 14.3 RU1 MP1 and older clients will follow the Upgrade Schedule settings defined in the assigned Installation Package applied to their group on the Install Packages tab.
