Data Center Security Server Advance (DCSSA): Unable to Start UMC Telemetry and Credentials Services

Issue/Introduction

You have noticed that the UMC Telemetry and UMC Credential services are stopped and cannot be started, but the DCS Management Service is running.

Environment

Release: 6.9.1

Component: UMC Services

Cause

UMC Telemetry and UMC Credentials are configured to use the Local System Account in the service properties when SQL Windows Authentication was implemented.

Resolution

Older versions of DCS did not have UMC Credentials and UMC Telemetry services present.

When SQL Windows Authentication is implemented on DCS, all three DCS services need to be configured to use an AD Service account in the logon properties.
