Issue/Introduction

l configured ntservices probe to start a windows service. For example, when windows service was stopped, ntservices probe could not start windows service again automatically.

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM NTSERVICES

Resolution

Create an ntservices profile, for example-> Microsoft FTP Service or Application Management.

Select the 'force state' option to automatically start the service if its stopped.

An alarm will be generated, for example, "Microsoft FTP Service - Restarting stopped service"

Then the ntservices alarm will automatically clear after a few minutes  when the service is started.

Check to see that the service has been started to confirm.

Additional Information

Note that some Windows services stop automatically if they are not in use by any programs, e.g., Adobe Flash Player Update Service.

Also, you can try another service as a test.
