Issue/Introduction
You would like to install Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) silently using command line switches on another drive or custom path having spaces in it.
Environment
Release : SPE 8.x
Resolution
You need to enclose path in quotes and also need to escape the quotes using backslash.
Example as below:
SymantecProtectionEngine.exe /s /v"/qn INSTALLDIR=\"D:\Program Files\Symantec\Scan Engine\"
Note: CAF will always be installed on drive "C". As of now we do not support installing CAF on custom location.
