Issue/Introduction

Event scenario instances are not created during the RiskFabric Intraday Processing job for event scenarios with definitions based on cube dimensions and measures.

Environment

Release : 6.5.x

Component : Event Scenarios

Cause

The job step Process DIM Measures and Dimensions (step 13) of the RiskFabric Intraday Processing job is failing or disabled. Consequently, cube data are not updated with the latest events and entity updates, precluding their incorporation into the RiskFabric cube.

Resolution

The job step Process DIM Measures and Dimensions of the RiskFabric Intraday Processing job handles event scenario instance generation for any scenarios with definitions build on Analyzer (cube) dimensions and measures. If the step is disabled, re-enable it by following this procedure:

  1. Using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), connect to the database engine hosting the RiskFabric database
  2. In Object Explorer, navigate to SQL Server Agent > Jobs
  3. Right-click the job RiskFabric Intraday Processing and select Properties
  4. In the Job Properties window, select the Steps page
  5. Determine the reason the step is not running:
    1. If step 12 is configured to Go to step: [14] Process Event Scenarios on success, change this setting to Go to the next step on success
    2. If step 13 has been deleted, contact Broadcom technical support for assistance with re-creating the job step

If the job step is not disabled but is failing with errors, contact Broadcom technical support for assistance with troubleshooting.
